Al Gore Shares Nobel Peace Prize

Published by Oliver Siodmak at 11:38 am under People

Al Gore The chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Ole Danbolt Mjoes, in Oslo, Norway, announced today that Al Gore and the UN Panel won the Nobel Prize for their work on Global Warming awareness. How awesome is it that the man who won the popular vote for the US Presidency in 2000 only to lose the electoral vote would achieve such a tremendous milestone in his career. The Norwegian Nobel Committee’s recognition of Mr. Gore’s work in addition to the increased awareness he received winning the Oscar at the Academy Awards earlier this year must be very satisfying to the man who for so long was the theme of many comedy sketches. I can only hope that this increased awareness results in true action by all of us. It would be an utter shame if humanity as a whole simply stood by and watched as our planet continued to die.Photo: Daniel Sannum Lauten/Getty Images — Agence France – Presse
