For the past few months the buzz has been around Apple’s iPhone which is scheduled to become publically available on June 29, 2007. Not satisfied to sit in the back of the audience quietly, Microsoft has quietly launched their response to the iPhone called the “oPhone”. Check out this yet unreleased video which highlights some of the phone’s new features and unique design.

If you are a Mac OS X user like me you often get questions from your friends and colleagues asking, “What’s so great about OS X and Apple Macintosh?” Is there really a difference? I strongly suggest you check it out.

And no, I am not one of those people who are secretly planning the downfall of Microsoft and Windows XP. I consider myself proficient on both platforms and at the end of the day I simply enjoy working on my Mac to do computer related tasks, than I do my PC. Now that Apple has decided to migrate to the Intel platform and Macs will have even better performance .. I’m even happier.

Bill Gates; views on Intellectual Property

In a recent CNET News.com interview with Bill Gates, Michael Kanellos asked the question, “In recent years, there’s been a lot of people clamoring to reform and restrict intellectual-property rights. It started out with just a few people, but now there are a bunch of advocates saying, ‘We’ve got to look at patents, we’ve got to look at copyrights.’ What’s driving this, and do you think intellectual-property laws need to be reformed?

Bill Gates responded, “No, I’d say that of the world’s economies, there’s more that believe in intellectual property today than ever. There are fewer communists in the world today than there were. There are some new modern-day sort of communists who want to get rid of the incentive for musicians and moviemakers and software makers under various guises. They don’t think that those incentives should exist.

Look Ma … the world is full of Communists! Damn!
